SPEC Gives Back

    On Thursday, July 27, 2017 SPEC volunteered at our neighbor, Green Harvest Food Pantry. This local food pantry began in 2001 and is a non-profit 501(c)3 food agency that provides the working poor in the Aurora, Montgomery, Naperville, Oswego, Plainfield, Plano, Montgomery, and Yorkville areas food they may not normally have access to. 

    One unique aspect of this food pantry is that clients can choose what type of food they want. They can shop the aisles, following the signs that indicate how much food is allocated per client. 

    The SPEC team helped sort food, clean the warehouse and complete a mailing for the Exelon Matching program.
